    Dog vests

Hey do any guys with deer hunting dogs run them with coats/ vests of any kind on? I've got a white dog with black spots so was thinking of getting a coat to help him blend in more/ keep warmer when crossing rivers etc. if I'm being stupid go easy hahaha cheers

what i find with the dog vests is no matter how much you trim them they tend to rub the dogs fur off somewhere and thats just duck shooting if you are doing alot of walkng you might cause your dog a fair bit of pain I've only tried the neoprene ones though

You've got a point there, I just think my dog will literally stick out like dogs balls since its white, looks like a Dalmatian. Then again if it gets seen I suppose we both have made a mistake

I run mine with a blaze blue for deer, I and other hunters can see her, deer presumably can't. I also have a camo neoprene one for the ducks, keeps her warm and helps her float. Have not had a problem with fur or skin damage. She gets very excited when I bring out her vests, she stands on the floor waiting to step into them

I have a jacket but only for her when we camp out and it is cold, Dont bother while we are hunting, as we are moving all the time she stays warm and i guess as she is concentrating on hunting doesnt think about the cold. She is a vizsla and i have no issue with her bold colour, i am hoping she will see or smell thye deer before the deer do LOL
