Thread: Dogs for deer

Fark here we go...which dogs best thread...these can be good!

Most of the "'hunting type" breeds from decent breeders will do the job alright with appropriate training. GWP, GSP, Vizsla, Lab, Heading dog/collie, Spaniels, etc etc etc.

I chose a GSP as my first hunting dog. Sure she shivers, whines, annoys the crap out of me, but she is a hunting mate that will NEVER let you down or be "too busy" for the quick hunt after work. While my GSP isn't perfect by any means she is a pretty versatile wee hunter. Heres' a very small selection of photos from trips on;

At the end of the day, a dog can just be a bloody good mate






Up to you what breed you choose, just remember a dog is a 10 year + investment.
