    dome valley

    just got a 2 week permit for dome valley up north anyone heard of deer up there if not any goats ? cheers fellas

    Nah goats all dead we killed them in the 1990s

    You will find it pretty slim pickings there but the odd goat probably still wanders in from surrounding farms and forestry.

    Sweet thatl do it , have many fond memory's with my old bsa P14 the big 2 stage trigger , my old man still has it which is a bit of a worry as he is tits on a bull at looking after his guns , but 303 man its waaay better than a 12g never forget shooting my first few deer with the 30 , im thinking of getting it back with the old aperture sights & go back to where I started from lol

    haha yeah im loving it it is real easy to aquire the target with the open sites only thing is it kicks she shit out of you ive been shooting some 180gr and some 150gr and the 150gr shoot way better and not as harsh on the shoulder especially with the brass butt pad

    Good stuff master it & youl be able to shoot anything these days with all the mods you can get to reduce recoil , man I remember getting a bunch of ex army ammo in the cotton bandoliers took it all up to awakino with a few mates & started blazing away at big mobs of goats over a weekend wondering why not many where falling over ! , soft point ammo is good ...

    yea i heard the fmj rounds just pass through with not much internal damage but that army stuff is way cheeper than the soft point stuff round 40$ for 20 as apposed to the army stuff at 30 rounds for 32$
