Thread: Dome valley / kaipara flats

Have a mate moving to a farm on kaipara flats road, near the airfield

Does anyone know what forestry company looks after the blocks on the northern side of the road?

Any idea of hunting there?

Not sure about that, but the Dome valley is DOC land and you have to get put on a waiting list to get in there. There are apparently very low animal numbers. My old man lives in Warkworth (about ten mins away from Dome Valley) and I've got it for a couple of weeks next month and I'll go up for a weekend. I'll let you know if I see anything up that way.

as on the other forum for the forestry permit, hancocks do a permit further north again
the DOC blocks here are small and the permit is you exclusive for 2 weeks, i think there are 6 or so, get your name on some and have a look, fill in the return sheet and get your name back on the list if you like the block
Tell your mate to go to the kaipara sports club on a thursday night an have a beer with the locals, mite find a foot in the door there with luck
