Im headin to doughboy bay stewart island in sept and am considering chucking in my snorkle gear ,is it worth it, has anyone chased a paua and craythere.
Any help on the hunting there wouldnt go astray either.

Yes. Wouldn't hurt if you don't have weight limits.
Check the beach for sign first up, good options for some still hunting along the beach and up the creek. Surrounding bush there isn't too bad either.
I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.
Yup, well worth it. Its not a to bad a block, deer wise. Light a big fire on the beach and keep an eye on it after it goes out, for a few days. Bucks love rolling in the ashes

Never heard of the rolling in the ashes bit those whitetail are pretty amazing but worth a crack.
Take a fishing rod too.

Yes will take a fishing rod for sure cheers should be able to fill in ten days no trouble. Gota be good for you.
