Ok, do you want it measured properly by a DS scorer? I know a couple in Hamilton.

Yeah I would be keen to mate. Was hoping to get a bit of information on how to do it so I could put a rough figure on it to see if it’s worthwhile getting properly done
Measure the length of each horn around the outside curve, in inches. Double the shortest length. Measure the circumference of each horn at the base, in inches. Double the shortest circumference. Add the two numbers together, that is the DS. This is the way to score all the horned species; goat, tahr, chamois and ram.
Get a dress makers tape. Start at the base of the horn against the skull and follow the growth of the horn along to the tip, thats the length. Measure the girth of the horn (around the base) against the skull, that is your second measurement. Do both sides and double the lesser of each measurement to get a total. All measurements are done in inches and 1/8" of inches.
There are finer details to the measuring than I have described, but this will give you an indicative figure.

I would be thinking that is pretty good. Had a look through some hunting books and anything around 30 inches in length is a very good one so at just about 29 inches you would have to be happy with it. Nice looking ram well done.
