Could it be the one that I found as road kill on the way in to Tarawera? I grabbed it by the tail and gave it a biff in the air. Could be that my hammer throw is better than average.
Maybe had its head jammed in the grill of a road train from Otago and fell out on the saddle? Or has one escaped from onbe of those dodgy little zoos like at Tahunanui or Blackwater down the coast?
