Who's plans have change for the roar around GIsborne
lots of roads closed around the coast. Rivers are in flood and still rain forecast for next 10 days. I know we another 100mm overnight where I live and sounds like the road is under water to get out.

Yes. Looks like serious damage done and I can only imagine the damage in Raukumara and Urewera and Kawekas. Arowhana Mangatu Waipoa and Mata will be grim. Motu and Raukokere and such catchments and all tributaries too. I feel for all the locals throughout.

We didn't get as bad as others did but 135mm over 12hours last night done some damage.Road must be 1.5m under the river. Last night when i came home river was clean and sitting at summer level.
went to move some stock this morning but wasn't worth it the creeks are pumping.

Up the coast will be effected for the next 12 months. lets face it the roads and maintenance hasn't been there for years now ( Gisborne as a whole) Some of the picture coming out of the coast the damage will be well up in the millions.
Remember some farms are already have excess stock from works been closed because of covid.
