The end for white tail herd in Wakatipu ?

Does not sound great for what little is left of the white tail deer or for that matter the fallow in the Caples.

They say they are going to use deer repellent, so one I guess we should be grateful.

Facing local extinction alright,Stewart island herd next on the list.

I spent 14 days in the Dart and Rees last year reviewing the whitetail herd.

I would describe it as "dire".

How many rats did you see ?

My 2 cents, they used deer repellent in a block I hunt in Canterbury and it did not decimate the deer numbers I found, so I would say it worked ok. a positive I guess!
