Interesting mate. Might try it with the next one. No stink you reckon? Keen to see if you get the yellow out of the bone, the yellow is generally fat deposits, which is why boiling with some detergent is normally preferred over letting nature do its thing.
As far as bleaching goes, don't use house hold bleach --- it'll make the bone brittle. Buy some hydrogen peroxide and make a brew up with water (I buy it off trademe in 5L bottles). You can reusue this, I store my mix in a 10L paint bucket and have used it 10+ times. Hydrogen peroxide is sensitive to the sun, so don't let the sun at it.
They'll sell well on tradme. Bit of a hassle though. Or you can just stop shooting scrubbers, or if you do for whatever reason, hang the head in a tree and leave it there![]()
