eye test on deer

Hi

Not sure if you guys have come across this site but and have a go and see how good your eye site is.

Makes you wonder how many we have missed.

that's a cool little site.

Some of them are easy. Some of them are tricky but still definitely deer once you find them. Some of them the 'deer' is a vague brown blurry blob that could be pretty much anything. I really hope whoever made that doesn't regard those ones as positive target ID!

I've missed heaps of deer, my eyesight isn't that great, but eyesight doesn't make much difference looking at an out of focus picture on a screen.

Cool sight, I had a virtually instant find on all but 14 21 26 33 38.
Seems i dont do well in brown country or using a magnifying glass:D

Ears are just as important as eyes ;) Lucky I can hear more then I see!

How did that hind get up that tree? ha ha ha ha

Goes to show you must identify your target.
I agree GravelBen about positive target,no doubt there are some cone heads that would take a shot.:yuush: But hay its photo's and is different out in the bush, just getting some new hunters thinking :thumbsup:

Its only a photo.
Could have been in plain view two steps earlier etc etc etc.
Don't recall it saying anywhere about taking a shot simply can you see a deer.

Often the first thing seen of a deer bush stalking is only a part.
A ear flicking, a leg, a rump patch, a horizontal line of a back.
Recognising it gives you the chance to stop and wait for it to move into better view or to move yourself for a better view.

As opposed to blundering along until one takes off and emptying the mag at it.:D

Yip, but there are a few of those where (in my opinion at least) the only thing telling you its a deer is the caption. I could post a photo showing a glimpse of brown mud behind some blurry bushes and tell you its a deer too ;)

Most of them are good though, I'm not saying the whole thing is hopeless.


Maybe we should start our own 'spot the animal' thread, could be fun.

One of the really deep questions in life is how do we know that the colours I see are the same as the colours every one else sees? Right up there with the falling tree in the forest making noise or not for me. Ha ha ha ha
