    Fallow Antlers?

Anyone have any idea of when Fallow typically harden up under there velvet. I'm not talking all bucks I mean the mature bucks. Have found one that's going to be pretty special for a public land animal but trying to plan when to go back in as he's able to very easily disappear into some private country post velvet so wanting catch him soon but not too soon.

Not sure down your way but late February should see them hard under the velvet, someone who hunts that area more regularly would have a better idea.

I know last year a mate shot an old stripped buck the 15th of Feb so he had likely been stripping for atleast a week and hard who knows from when. But yeh I think I'll have to give the buck a miss this year as I can't get in after him late enough to be sure. He's big enough he may seriously be close to going backwards.

Would live to see a picture if you happened to take one just to compare what level of growth your cull was at comparatively.
