    Fallow Buck

I'm just starting to do a bit of research on public land spots to get me a good fallow buck. So far it appears the Greenstone/Caples or Blue Mountain herds look the most likely spots to start. These are balloted blocks though it appears.
Anyone keen to share any other general areas that could be worth a look?

Yes but that's all private land, as is a lot of the Fallow hunting around the central north island from what I've seen and heard of. I'm not interested in that.

Have thought about the Te Puke herd as it's not to far away for me to travel, but as you say you don't hear about to many big heads coming from the area.

South island or private land basically. Just the way it goes with getting a reliable shot at a good buck in my opinion

Thanks for that. I will be putting in for the ballot later in the year.
