Extremely unlikely to be anything but a red or fallow. Id assume theres more fallow in the vicinity also. It does seem quite short for a red and i thought that fallow and reds wouldn't be sharing the same tracks and areas as each other?

That ridge on the beam from the brow tine to the trey is unusual for a Red and the lack of palmation above the trey is unusual for a Fallow... what else do you Nth islanders have that has a pronounced ridge on the beam and lacks Bey tines and zero pearling ??

I'd say red I hunt doc land in central north island where there are red in fallow & have watch them feeding on the same clearing at the same times so they happily walk the same tacks to get there.
