Feb and April trip destory by roster change after some ideas for early March Ruahines

Well as usual in my line of work my best laid plans are out the window due to work and roster changes.
    February and April bookings lost
But there is light at the end of the tunnel as now should be getting a 5 week off at the end of a 8 week stint.
Due to Govt departments closing over xmas period my wife and kids cannot get a visa for home in time so planning to meet them down in South Africa for 3 weeks surfing and relaxing.
Wife and kids will fly home to Zambia then I will fly home to NZ for my last 2 weeks then back to Tanzania to work.
Lucky work covers flights for me and can fly via SA then home.
So I was thinking that I might chase some Reds for a change.

Option one fly in to Rockslides area where I have hunted before

Option two Do a solo walk in and see some new country, Hunting as I go.

How busy is it early March?
Any ideas on a Doc access which allow me to do a bit of a loop around and come back to car park.
Will take fly camping gear so not worried about being away from a hut.

    Thanks
    Love walking my gun

What a bugger. Depending upon where you go, in late March it could be like the Queen Street / Victoria Street intersection.
    Reindeer likes this.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
