You'll have no worries taking a Toyota corolla into the Blue gums.

Was up there a few weeks ago and the road is good as gold.

The ford generally only has a few inches of water and has a good concrete base.

Check out the water level markers before you cross and if under the red line you'll be fine.

Take your rifle and a fishing rod as there is good hunting and fishing all along the river towards Te Puia Hut.

It's a popular place and I'd be surprised if you were camping alone.

The Hot Tubs are great for a relaxing evening swim.

    Have fun.

    Cheers
    Pete

    Thanks Pete.
“For us hunting wasn’t a sport. It was a way to be intimate with nature, that intimacy providing us with wild unprocessed food free from pesticides and hormones and with the bonus of having been produced without the addition of great quantities of fossil fuel. . . . . . . . We lived close to the animals we ate. We knew their habits and that knowledge deepened our thanks to them and the land that made them.”
