Who cares about them "making their living" ? How about we start mining national parks so people can "make a living" doing that? or something something public resource grumble grumble I'm leaving before I get grumpy
There is a time and place for it but early April in handy country isn't it. I would have been mighty grumpy. Hope the operator has his paper work in order....
Yep it would piss me off.The foot hunter veiws, photos the stag, plans a stalk to a location close enough for a humane kill just to have an aerial cowboy clean up under his nose...WTF! Especially at this time of year.

Yeah would suck after that walk
Whatever the ins and outs of that particular day, that guy has a really good attitude. Need more like him.
Man that would suck. Looked like a nice deer. Do they get money from the meat?
WARO is not allowed for 2 weeks either side of Easter, if its public land that guy was probably operating outside of his permit!
2015 roar WARO closure dates 23 March to 9 April
I saw a machine hunting the Okuru tops on the evening of the 23rd March and flying out a load... but didn't get ID.
e: except Haast roar blocks apparently have a different set of dates this year, 29 March to 19 April, so never mind that one
Shit going but great attitude, really goes to show there is more to hunting then just the head, would mean anything being given to him even aftee all the hard yards to get up there
Konus binoculars " The power to imagine"
They could have offered him a lift back down.
I thought the Robinsons had all been ground because of their reoccurring accidents? Obviously not anymore ?
Some of the 44's with a specific model no. of rotor blade were temporarily grounded after the crash down Qtown way when rotor failure was initially suspected (later found not to be the case I believe), either until the grounding notice was removed a week later, or until an engineer checked over it. Definitely not all robbies.
