    Finally

Well I finally shot a south island deer.
Weekend trip with the boys down the Nelson lakes. Bit of a late start, didn't start hunting until 9am Saturday, 1.30 we stumbled across a couple on a clearing, having a graze and getting a tan.Name: uploadfromtaptalk1479683996051.jpg

Great stuff mate, have to agree sometimes all that extra skin and bone will make you stop by a log and pretend to be looking for something you dropped

    Well done

Ah but it butchers and eats sooo much better when it gets a chance to set and hang in one piece vs sweating in your pack.

What's the roar like down the lakes? Do you still aim for about the 9th or are they typically early or late?

Awesome work. Good effort there I found the roar always start early around the nelson region. March, quite often its all over around 8th april but depends on where you go.

More human or electronic roars than real ones usually.
