Living on a farm in Northland with a few pigs around, have got a few big boys on the place over the years but the last couple years they havent been around 'as much'. Theres been a few sows around that we leave as they bring in the boars from around the place when theyre hogging. A year or two ago came across this pig around a few smaller sows, he hung around for a few days and have never seen him again.
We enjoy seeing pigs around the place so dont often chase or shoot them unless training the pups. Only took photos of this pig as we wanted him to breed with the sows. Love his color. Anyway, went out for a walk this evening on the farm with the .308 to a couple 'hotspots' and came across this pig. Wind was in my face, perfect! Layed down and put the crosshairs on the shoulder and squeezed off. Bang, heard it hit him. 15metres away he was lying there. Not realising how big he really was, and after having a look at him closer i realised it was 'that boar with the white feet and nose.'
