    Deerstalkers range out Riverhead ?
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

There are two Deerstalker ranges one in private forestry behind Kumeu and one just over the river from Riverhead. See their web sites for details of when they are shooting. You will not be able to shoot shotguns while there is a rile shoot on. You do not have to join Deerstalkers to shoot you can pay a range fee on the day. Have fun.

If your that keen to get out contact the Doc office nearest to you and ask about public land that you are allowed to hunt on, there are small pockets all over the place.
