Well done on your first deer,good shot.November December when the yearlings have been kicked off mum.They run around like kids with mum not watching out for them.First and last hour of light yr best chance.Find a area with fresh sign and lots of feed.Keep going back to it, especially in the evening,sit and watch from a high vantage point till dark.
