Finally got the (scrub) monkey off my back!

After a few years of taking a break from hunting, I decided to seize an opportunity to get back into the hills again and complete something I unknowingly started about 25 years ago.

You see, without knowing it, when I started hunting I would move around trying new things, hunting new areas etc...and as time pasted I realised that I was close to getting one of every game species in nz. Well...nearly, everything except chamois.

I just came out after 8 days hunting in the alps. The wind blew away my tent (while I was in it!). Then the sun fiercely burnt my skin after the cyclone cleared...but it all seams worthwhile now in retrospect.

It's not going to set a record, but I couldn't be happier to finally complete the set.

    Well done.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Cheers guys, thanks for the kind words.

Yes "plenty of deer in those there hills"...like seriously high numbers! But sadly nothing over 8 points were seen by the two of us, so we left them to grow.

I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.
