Probably more than likely to be simply a lack of a market for the service. Far more people go to fiordland for the sounds and nature than they go for the waps.Quote:

I suspect the "day rate" for boat charters may also frighten people off.
We have a guy here in Nelson and he charges out at $2800 per day for the boat ( max number of punters is 20 I think).
I know a few guys down there but they make enough fishing to not need to do charters.
