    First .223 Deer

I'll write up a bit of a story a bit later, gotta get home and up at 5am to go to the airport!

Amazing performance of my 55gr game kings. Hind was quartered towards me, shot her just forward of her shoulder and straight through her heart. She cartwheeled 20yards down the hill to the left.

Enjoy. I know I have. I'm absolutely over the moon.

    So happy

Bloody hell I wish I looked as composed and as good looking when I carry out .
I'm usually gasping for air , bouncing from tree to tree , stumbling , wondering why I do it and designing - inventing a remote control heavy lift helicopter .
Good shooting , have you tried any of the Barnes projectiles in the . 223 ?

Nice work Dougie with the Game Kings, i still am to get one with a 223 - i keep wussing out when I go to the safe and grab the 7 rem Mag, just to be sure!!

Taken Tons of goats with the 223 and 55gr Blitz kings which are awesome, but still to try the Game king projectile. be interested in your Spiel to hear how the projectile held together or maximised the wounding in your animal if you you did do a wee investigate and went into it that far...have you tried the blitz before to give a no bullshit account of the differences?

Oh well think I'll have to make a few trial goes at Fallow with the 223 before chasing the reds with it, to make matters worse I've got another rifle arriving shortly that also will be fighting for the right to get out of the safe first.

Not easy. Mainly their behaviour. If they have a fawn they do a lot of looking to where the fawn is planted and are quite nervy.

This deer actually looks younger to me. Maybe 2. And quite rounded. The suckling hinds are inclined to be a bit slabby and rangy looking. Just an opinion.

    Good work Dougie.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
