First deer for the Hardy barrel.

Went for a walk Saturday morning and scored a nice yearling. First deer for the new 28 inch Hardy barrel in 300 win. Only 250 metres but it went where it was supposed to so can't complain. A bit more load development to do but big thanks to Lee at MOA Engineering in Dunedin.

Well done, what's it like to carry with the massive magazine? I guess with longer barrel and suppressor the ballance point is thurther forward so not an issue

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

I wont lie and say i don't notice the weight but my biggest issue with it being a Rem long range was that I could not hold it steady for the occasional offhand shot. Me being only 75 kgs . So with the carbon barrel and hardy suppressor it is 1kg lighter at front even with 2 inchs added and 24 mm profile. The big mag is needed I was counting 40 on the crop on this farm early this year. My average shot is 300 so the extra weight helps me just takes longer to get there.
