    First deer for the year

Got my first deer for the year on Sunday morning and important to me for quite a few reasons. Not only was it the first for the year but first for the 7 rem mag and the longest shot I've ever attempted at around 400yrds.
But most importantly. On Friday afternoon I was within inches of not been here after I became a passenger in my on truck when It finally gave me back control we were on the edge of 30ft drop. never been so scared in my life
So right at this moment I am so pleased that I am still here and able to go for a hunt
It also gave Mai her first taste of venison

Great effort old bean, just you keep making "old bones", they are the best!! On the gruts issue, a cousin of mine statement on it (when I mentioned I'd seen a very long set of marks down a steep face that her husband had left) - "oh the skidmarks on the hill are only half as impressive as the ones on his gruts"

Thanks @stug, bit more than only a fright, things were to tight for anything to escape into undies, and I shed a tear after I shot the hind
