    First hunt for the Girlfriend

Hi guys, I’m taking the girlfriend away for a couple nights to a air bnb in a couple months around Marlborough for an overdue birthday present. I’m also wanting to take her on her first hunt while we are up there and it’s a bit of a long shot but is there anyone here that knows of a short walk to try get her a goat in that area? I’ve never hunted Marlborough before and am based in Christchurch so would be cool to get her first kill to try infect her with the hunting bug haha. Any info, advice or contacts would be massively appreciated!
    Cheers

If others dont chime in with advice, leatham valley between blenhiem and st Arnaud is know to hold a few animals @Shearer might know what goat numbers are doing in the neck of the woods.

Plenty of members in the nelson area thst should have some ideas. Where is the air bnb you are staying?

Thanks for that mate. Not currently booked but the ones I’ve been looking that are about 20 mins out of Blenheim but I’m still considering finding something in the sounds

Yeah. There are a few goats in the Leatham but it gets pretty well hunted so generally a bit of a walk involved to be sure.

Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
