A few years ago we took a class in there. Noisy little shits most of the night. When I got up to shut them up for about the 50 th time a deer was standing there looking at me. No I did not imagine it as there were fresh footprints there in the morning. Been back hunting there a few times. Love the area.

Nice read, enjoyed that. And well done on bagging your first "real" deer.

Wonder if it was the same bugger standing there when I got in that friday night, 20m away up the track, just standing there in my head torch, don't think I was the first hunter/tramper to pic him out as he was completely unphased and hung around the bush edge.

We had a bit of fun heading up there, couldnt get eyes on them were a couple on the opposite spur at about 800m (also had some interaction at 800m coming down the Makino Spur) then on our way down a bit further up the river we bumped a fawn- coulda sworn it was a Kelpie haha.
