Working down south for the month and wanted to have a crack at chasing tahr. It’s a different kettle of fish compared to bush stalking reds in the Taupo area. The country and terrain is humbling and I have a new found respect for anyone that hunt tahr.
A massive day walking up to 2000 meters and seeing a lot of animals! A good size bull presented himself to me at 327meters and tipped him over with the 308. He measures 12 1/4 inches.
What an adventure!!
