I read something the other day....published by Tony Orman 1981....written by John Anderson some time before...
the use of the helicopter as a tool for game management opens up endless possibilities as these same characteristics make thar the easiest big game species to manage for sport hunting in this country, population densities, sex and age ratios and location of every group can be known for every season of the year and management carried out as when where and to whatever degree necessary, the effectiveness of the helicoptor as a weapon cannot be doubted as it has brought what was the largest thar herd in the world to the brink of extintion in less than 5 years.
I now find myself in the invidious situation where in my life time I have shot more than twice as many thar as there are remaining alive in the world today....
read that twice and let it sink in..........
