Full moon at present wonder how that influences stag behaviour during the roar? Stags more active? Thoughts
It seems that the full moon is one of the triggers that get hinds to cycle, hence can bring the stags roaring
The full moon affecting human behavior is pretty much all confirmation bias. People expect weird stuff to happen on a full moon, and thus, when weird stuff happens, they attribute it to the moon, and ignore the weird stuff that happens every other day. Oddly enough, it's one of the myths that otherwise rational medical professionals tend to buy into.

No idea about deer, though.
After 29 years of studying my wife a full moon certainly effects her hair gets wild so does her mood
Years ago my sister worked in a mental facility and when the moon was full the patients were crazier than crazy until it passed. They dreaded it each month.
I use to be a Warewolf, but I'm cured noooowwwww
Clear crisp cool night and hinds coming into cycle = exciting times to be in the bush
From Reproductive Seasonality in Deer
A northern hemisphere publication so months are different but causes will be same.
"Female deer are short day breeders, so they generally come into estrus in the fall, from October to December (Dewey). This is triggered mainly by a decrease in photoperiod. A hormone called melatonin is produced by the pineal gland in response to the onset of darkness. When it reaches a certain level in the blood plasma it induces estrus (Webster). However, it is unclear how exactly this occurs. It is thought to be very similar to the pathway in sheep, but this has yet to be proven (Adam)."
So a full moon could delay estrus if it fools the deer into thinking the day is longer. But the sort increase might not offset the general decrease in daylength.
Greg Duley had a theory about what type of summer it had been. A cloudy cool summer casued an early roar because deer thought the days were shorter, a hot clear summer caused a normal or later roar because the days were longer.
The roar and mating are 2 different subjects
Stags round up their hinds and let out verbal roars to ward off threats in the area. They can be a week or 2 early. This is when we are out there getting our own hard on’s
Stags will mate when they detect a hind is ready to conceive whether they are roaring or not
Shoot me down like a horny stag if I am wrong
So this year might be an early roar with that shity summer we had?
