    glassing

Glassing is just term used for using your binoculars, in scruby open country , bush line etc were the angle is always changing as you move along , use them constantly , in the Bush I either don’t take the bino,s or they stay in my day bag just incase .

You can use them in the open or bush, but mostly they are used in open country. It is safer to use binds to identify things than using your scope.

So Glassing means using binoculars to find game, ie, sitting down and glassing, hillsides, basins, flats, etc normally in open country

You will also be surprised if you have a small pair of good binos say 8x25 in the bush it seems to help look though the bush better also. And I might add a little safer then lifting a rifle to check.

Yup, when in the open I'm constantly using my binos. So if you are watching a clearing keep using them.

Some folk use a small pair in the bush and swear by it.

I’ve taken to using Binos out rabbit shooting. Sitting in a good spot, with the hmr or 204 it becomes a different way of doing things, far more challenging and you can have a cuppa while you wait!!

@Pommy and I had the unpleasant experience of another hunter 'glassing' us using his rifle recently. Not. Cool. At. All.

We made ourselves obvious to him but really, just don't do it.
