Thread: Glow sticks showing the safe way home.

I dont claim this as my own idea but i used it not long ago And recomend it.And I dont feel ive contributed much here of any real use.

I sometime hunt an area in the arvo when im short of time its a basin with a gully between you and the basin and the safest way over to the basin if you plug a deer its sidling around to the upper left of the basin which in the dark with just a head lamp is tricky and risky thats without a deer or backstaks in your pack.So with the intention of bowling one over i went out and purchased a ten pack of glowsticks for two buk 50 at the wong shop and headed for the track .Sure enough forty mins to dark a spiker popd up and got dispatchd as i made my way over and around to the basin I planted a glow stick every bad spot and turn and up and down untill I ran out. Id spread them out fairly evenly over the risky bits.buy now it was just about dark and after taking fillets and back steaks and the hind qtrs I headed back aiming for my glowsticks.As i got to each stick i put it in my pocket and made my way to the next one, it made my trip back around quicker and i believe safer I dont know who else has done it but when my old man use to do night dives they used to put glow sticks on there tanks which is were i thought of it.
