Thread: Goat hunting round Queenstown Lakes

Hi all,

My girlfriend is really keen to go hunt some goats, she used to hunt a lot in Central with her dad many years ago and wants to get back into it. We've had a look round a couple hunting blocks in the Queenstown area but having seen so many goats on private land round here, she has approached one or two local landowners on the off chance that they might need some pest control but hasn't really had much of a response.

Do any of you have advice on where she can go to have a good chance of bagging a goat or any farmers who might be open to allowing access for shooting?

@Pigroot perhaps go over to introductions section and tell us a bit about yourself first. Not sure anyone is going to give up their go to spots or contacts. Generally speaking, do the hard yards on public land, they are certainly there.
