I take your point Spook. Rules seem to be made to be broken by some sections of society, even if they are of the Unwritten type.

If DoC or council were ever to put up signs of guidelines for consideration to others they may as well mark the 50 metre and 100 metre distances and take more care of the placement of such signs to consider the safe firing zone behind them.

Signs and markers would still get ignored and probable get used for target practise too, I remember my first time up clements and my one and only time going up Te Iringa I vividly recall one of the guys I was hunting with coming out of the shithouse at the campsite at the track start saying "I have one concern, there is a bullet hole in the middle of the shithouse door and it is at eye level". Not even shithouses are safe from being shot at up there by people with itchy trigger fingers.
RULE 4: IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET BEYOND ALL DOUBT

To be a Human is to be an Alien, ask the animals, We invade this world and we are killing it, we are destroying the earth and nobody gives a fuck except for the animals

@Pengy, when I was out riding yesterday I came across this...

Smack in the middle of the track and the track curves around behind it putting anyone at risk who was walking on the track...behind it, to the right are the bullet gouges from where they missed...not a good photo as my nag was running in circles under me.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.
