    Goose Shoot

Went Goose shooting today with the Napier NZDA.

Helping out a farmer who wants to keep the numbers under control.

I took my old mans Benelli Armi 12ga and a couple of boxes of #2 shot.

This gun has not been shot for a few years now since his passing and I haven't fired a shot gun for over ten years.

Did ok with it too, Nine geese for 22 rounds fired

Fired six rounds before I dropped the first one though

Breasted out those that I could recover an ended up with this lot, even the cat got a feed out of it.

Now have to figure out what to do with them.

    Winter casseroles, Salami etc.

    Cheers

    Yes it does. Smoked Salami

I also like to do casseroles and stews in the slow cooker over winter.

Might have to flip a coin or something.

    Cheers

Half and half? Or turn this lot into salamis and then that gives you an excuse to shoot some more for casseroles

    Good thinking Toby.

In total I believe 130 geese were shot today by 15 shooters.

Gotta be fun bombing up geese.

Can you shoot near the airport next the road there in the lagoon? Seen lots of ducks and geese in there

    Genius Toby.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

I fed the cat some of the trimmings from the Goose Breasts

I had to lock him outside while I processed the meat,

He wasn't happy and sat at the door Meowing until I had finished.

That's when I fed him some of the trimmings.

Looks like they hit the spot with him....... Lazy Bastard
