    A great day

After not feeling to good last week and then getting some more shit news this week, my son and I finally got out to do some pest control. I have started to GoPro my activities no matter how trivial they may be as a record for the Grand Children that I will never meet. A neat concept, so we took cameras and associated paraphernalia with us and went shooting Turkeys. After a false start and a 22 that was not sighted in, not mine. The action started. The farmer was directing us from his phone as to where the birds were. We took 10 birds, the son thought more. Most of these we breasted and I also took the drum sticks off 4 of them. I was initially going to mince the breasts and slow casserole the drum sticks. But after picking up some beer sticks and salamis from a red deer, we got just on lockdown, I thought I would also do the same with these. Will probably go for a animal tomorrow, well I will do the driving drop the son off at the top of the farm and then pick him up at the other end. What ever we get tomorrow can also go into the salami bin or what ever. Last nite the boys put a surprise meeting on for me and it was great. No fish were caught but a lot of wine and beer was consumed, not by me however. Looking forward to tomorrow. My daughter in law is currently cooking a W Pig roast and the smell is bloody nice. Have great evening guys.

    Sounds like a good time.
Good on ya man. Wish I had some private land access too.

    Enjoy the rewards!

Much as I wish you were right @Pengy sadly I wont. Hey it is what it is, most people have a cross to carry. I am 61yrs the kiddies with this have had no life and that really gives you a reality check. The hunting tomorrow might be on hold as the rain has arrived. No matter we will work on my boat, a father and son exercise which will be great as well.

Good idea taking some vids. I have been doing so for the last 15 years, and am getting better at it. I absolutely treasure the times I have hunting and fishing with my son, and hopefully he will get a kick out of watching these videos when I am gone. I hope to see you on opening weekend, But beware - I will have my camera!!
