    greetings from the big smoke

    Hi there

I'm still new to this sport, but the hardest part for me is living in Auckland. I have a couple of central north island blocks, but its too much of a hassle/struggle to the farmers etc. for me to get down there all the time. Was just wondering were I should start exploring that's closer to Auckland, either day or weekend trips. I'm not looking for spot x and would be happy to go for some goats or deer, just want to get out there more.

    cheers

    Kaimai's ?
    1 1/2 hours from Akld
Coromandel Forest Park for goats, about the same timeframe.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Yea I have been looking into the kaimais, I am planning on getting down there next week. There aren't to many issues with cars getting broken into or being in the "wrong" area is there?

    cheers

Apart from the cost, I just jump in my truck and drive. Leave early and get home late. I do a five hour round trip 20 or more times a year. Just go hard if you can afford the time and fuel.

Different if you have young children and a family though.
