Hi all,
My name is Jack and I'm from Australia. My brother and I came over this year for a sika hunt and fell in love with New Zealand and are dead set keen on coming back If we can avoid being castrated by our missus for another hunting trip (I'd even consider moving over if I didn't have the ball and chain). We did a guided hunt but are really keen on doing it without one this time. We're planning on doing it with our mate so between the three of us we've been trying to decide on somewhere to go. We're looking at coming over in march around the time in start of the roar. In Victoria over here in aus we aren't really spoilt for game and none of us have even seen a wild pig or goat before so if we could go somewhere where we're likely to find some it'd be great but the main thing we'd be looking for are either red skins or chamois or tahr. Does anyone have any suggestions where to go for this in the greymouth area or anywhere in the south island for that matter? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Jack
