Doubt it, well and truly over down here.
I have shot a grunting buck here in nelson end of may a few years back. Was obviously still thrashing stuff too cos it was caught up in his antlers.

Off topic a bit , but why don't we see any fallow pics etc in the south island? . There's no shortage if you no where to look. Maybe I've got a short memory but can't remember seeing any posted ?

I haven't deliberately hunted them for quite a while because where i would usually go is overrun with people these days and i would have to wear a flashing light and a siren to feel safe off track.

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
