yeah good idea Parky if carrying whole carcass I always have some synthetic baling twine in day bag damn strong stuff but please take it out lasts in bush for years

The big reusable cable ties are perfect. Also come in handy for other things when out in the bush

As stated on another thread on the gear page, I use the “butt out” tool,no worries easy peeysey lemon squeezey

Yea I just use the tube itself I don't use string or cable ties just the animals own tube.squeese the shit up the pipe without ripping it to give u enough to tie a knot then cut and tie. As others have mentioned I'm more worried about the bladder.

the older I get,the less bone gets carried out,skin and hair doest weigh much but still little point in bringing it how to go in otto bin....entire set of hindquarters make sense at times with front end boned out into daybag.
taking a bit more time doing the bush butchery makes life lots more relaxed,a hot cuppa tea while doing the job or waiting for meat to cool is just primo,highly recommended.

Recently hunted with a new companion, and was impressed with his technique. He is very particular about the back and front ends. Completely removes the bum hole as a complete organ. Then removes the oesophagus back to the chest. After cutting up the gut cavity to the breastbone, he reaches in and makes a slice in the diaphragm. He then passes the oesophagus thru the slit and drags the complete intestine out in one piece. Was very tidy. Impressed with the cleanliness of the remaining gut cavity.

But you guys consume happily water from smaller creeks!
I‘m not saying you shouldn’t avoid urine on meat but I would be way more concerned about bacteria from poo!
