    Haast Roar

Hi, I've drawn a block in the haast roar block. Block 19 teer creek,
I'm travelling over from Australia with some mates for the hunt and just wondering if anyone has any insight on this area as I've searched high and wide and can't find any information on this area of the haast roar blocks.
Any help will be greatly received

Vast areas of this block is almost deer less wasteland with pockets of small runty deer in the heavy bush, well that is what it was like in the nineties. Almost nil trophy potential but you never know down that way. Probably the reason why no information is there is because no one has thought it was worth writing about.

Get hold of the chopper company in Haast, they should be able to give you some info on camp locations, etc

Just read your big write up about your hunt back in 2019 or 20, which area of the Haast blocks were you in when you dropped like 5 deer for the week ?

That was a good trip, ballot block with a lot of bush and ridges. Depends what your after, coastal blocks have smaller sized heads but generally higher numbers. The inland more open country blocks have lower numbers but the chance of a good head.
sore head stoat and Springy like this.
