    It's a magic spot, am heading back into Tussock for a week at the beginning of Feb.

    This map was from a study that DOC did counting deer scat on the ground to determine population densities........ West / South West of Otore biv was the highest in the park @ the time.
    Lots of skinny deer when i went through there in summer a couple of years ago.

    Is there any context around the survey? Makes it looks like a lot of ground with zero deer.

    This is the link to check out, they obviously didn't do the whole park - Not sure how they decided where to look?
