Has anyone else ever considered Aussie camels?

have held this wish for a while now, to head to Oz, and help out the government and whack some camels...

Or am I missing something I need to know?

I can probably set you up with one if you need to reminisce Rushy.
I notice none of the ex-army boys seem to miss the steyr.

I think a machine gun in one of the trains would be quite effective on the camels.
    The're not small up close.

Now that would be worth doing. It is at least 36 years since I had one in my hands. Never had the Steyr in my time (only the SLR, GPMG and M16).

I've used one. Standard issue rifle in SADF. Copy of FN-FAL called a R1. Bomb proof rifle, but heavy

Then changed to a copy of Galil called R4. Some units also got the carbine version, called R5, nice toy...
