Hi Team,

Just moved to the bay last week............ worst timing possible - first roar in 12 years I have not been out thanks to the move.

Keen to catch up with a few of you and keen for some recommendations as to which NZDA branch I should join with and when the next meeting is.

Also, whats the range situation like in these parts?

Toby's memorial shoot is down there in October mate. Be sure to attend as there will be lots of guys off here in attendance.

There is a decent but busy 1-400 yard range just out of Hastings.

Busy is not the word, last 2 days it's been manic, with every man and his dog and children, even the police were there today. I gave up waiting this morning, went back late this arvo and it was just as bad. It was great until word has spread.

You will be in the Hastings NZDA (read best) catchment!!!!

Hastings NZDA 1st Wednesday of every month 8:00.

Have a look at the Napier branch also. Was a member of Hastings branch for a few years.

What were the police up too at our little range? I tried twice to drop in there today and it was being used both times.

During the day? I would expect things to quiten down in a week or two.
Cant expect too much from a free range I suppose. The setup does not allow for much more than one user at a time, which is fine.
Curious to find the Police using it as they are normally at Esk or Ben Lomond. There are a couple of boys in blue living very close though so it may have been for personal use?

Either Hastings or Napier club. Best to check out both and make your mind up
