Rivers as low as at present, but just you watch, about 3 days before the opening of fishing season it will come down a beauty, always does. The crossing from Totara to Washbourne was dry yesterday and will be until a decent rain. Should be good in spring but check the river flow data on Ecan, needs to be about 110-120 cumecs or lower for safe crossing.

Drive up there as a big high slowly (3days) coming from auzz.If no heavey a week befor yr trip and the Rakaia river is running around 120 cu/secs you be fine.Rakaia river maybe be 70cu secs and wilbaforce 50cu secs =120 cu sec.Furtherest up stream flow reading just above Rakaia gorge so yr river readings generally split between the above rivers joining the main rakaia flow.
There be deer in the area boss, take a trailor.
