Thread: Heading to Nelson from Christchurch

Have to work and do Xmas stuff sorry.

Some advice though. I'm not much of a hunter yet, but fuck up the odd armed tramp by shooting something.
1) be there at first light or dusk.
2) Keep the wind in your face or you will see nothing.
3) they need feed. Slips, broadleaf, grass at this time of year
4) Keep at it. You won't shoot anything in front of the telly. Keep going to the same area if it shows promise and learn it. If you find fresh sign but no animals figure out the best way to get to that spot at the right time with the wind in your face and hunt through it really slowly.
5) Enjoy the process. If you keep at it you will get one. It would not be rewarding if it was too easy. The second deer will be easier.
