    Heads

Here's the 2 heads from the other day. Rough sort of heads with split palms.

I am not sure why but I have never been one to collect antlers. Perhaps it comes from having had so many laying around the shed from farming reds and from having seen too many fucked up heads with more points than a spastic compass.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Something about fallow antlers, I just love! I have always loved palmations. I have yet to get a decent fallow deer, though i stayed in Dunedin for 6 years and hunted the Blue-mountains, but hopefully in Nelson where i live now I can get on a few of them.

The cob/mount arthur herd are very low numbers due to 1080 operations and should be left to recover.

@Stickbow, this is a great time to get them. They are now in their "boys groups" so there is a good chance you will see several bucks together. You just need to suss where they are. They will be in good cover that is close to grass. These 2 were in a group of 4. They came out of thick scrub right on dark and onto very good grass, so you need some patience and a good 'scope. Interestingly, they seemed just as interested in sparring and playing as they were eating. But they had all night for feeding.
Also, if undisturbed they will stay in the same spot and feed in the same area for a long time, so long as there is enough tucker.

How long ago was is 1080'd? I just moved to Nelson around 6 months ago and don't have a grip on the local herds.
