Mid sept you might be skiing at Manson, tussock is a good spot but still early for much spring growth etc

I'd call up Chris crosse at east Kaweka heli, top guy. talk to him, he will see you right

And Manson and tussock are in the kawekas,
Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.

Was in the boyd early October last year. Still animals out in the open there. Cool hut but you may not have it to yourself.

Cascade, harkness or ngawapura could be another option if you want to hunt some bush.

Pay to check what areas they are 1080 poisoning this year before deciding Chris Crosse should know.

Where ever you decide to go leave it until early November, it will make for a far more enjoyable trip.

Forget the cascade and oamaru area,it got topdressed with 1080 a month ago.The tussock might be a handy option but was snowing there 3 weeks ago.Could ring Helisika, some of their lower blocks are still sweet.Just ask about snow damage from last years dump, the bush and manuka are still recovering. Good luck.
