I don’t want to diminish the importance of your post but can an adult truly be categorised as missing if there has been no contact in less than 24 hours?
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

I'm very glad he's been found alive. Let's hope the medics can work their magic.

very pleased all turned out okay - I said dodgy as I have had extensive background in SAR and so many blokes mainly went missing and simply did not want to be found - turn up 4-5 days later and no real explanation what went on - one said he had found a bottle of water up at Whakatakaa trig above Lake Waikaremoana and could not remember the next few days

Had a situation down here some years ago, the brother of a 4wd mate took himself for a walk into the Hawdon/Poulter area, he was known to being hounded by the black dog.

The police found him on camera at a bottle store buying whiskey, no other sightings after that. He's still out there somewhere.
